I write for the kids who look for fairy doors in the garden,

and for the parents trying to keep some magic alive, even when they’re buried under piles of laundry.

Hi, I’m Loa. I’m a children’s author, yoga teacher, and former educator. Over the years, my world has been deeply shaped by working closely with families, whether I was teaching kids’ yoga, working as a nanny, or directing a childcare program for a local shelter. Those spaces taught me a lot about the resilience of children and the need for judgment-free parenting resources. Above all, they reminded me that we must always make room for joy and creativity in the everyday.

Right now, I’m focused on creating books that blend a sense of wonder with emotional awareness. When I’m not writing or spending time with my own kids, you can usually find me in the garden or working on a random art project.

Works in Progress

  • Addy’s Inner LightPicture Book – A heartwarming story about a child rediscovering what makes her sparkle.
  • Hugsy Cuddle Bug – (rhyming) Picture Book – A silly story about a hug-loving bug learning about consent.
  • Do Yoga Together AdventuresBeginning Chapter Series – Magical stories that weave yoga movement and imagination together for young readers.
  • Parenting ProjectsNon-Fiction – Two upcoming books focused on grounded parental support and connection (diving deeper into these soon alongside a future podcast launch!).

I also have a deep vault of other children’s manuscripts in development, ranging from playful concept books to quiet, character-driven stories.
